Guess the Boat Got Here...

UPDATE: Spoke too soon. Out of stock again. Must have been a fluke. Guess the big boat is still a-comin'.

The book Light Science and Magic is finally back in stock (NOPE.) at Amazon. (See here for the back story on the delays.)

They were expecting the second printing shipment to arrive in early August, but I guess they sped up the boat from China a little. Hopefully they printed enough to go around this time!

(Thanks for the heads-up in the comments.)

I am glad I get the opportunity to have the flow of information reversed, for once. Shipping from China to the US (WC I assume, although EC through Panama Canal is also possible) takes about two weeks.

Speeding the boat up is therefore not likely. However, given that this is peak season (to stock the warehouses for christmas), it is more likely that the container was scheduled to leave one or two weeks from now, and that a 'slot' on an earlier vessel was available.

You probably couldn't care less, but just to give you a heads-up :)

I'm too poor atm to buy any new camera gear - but I saw the book in a store the other day and new I had to buy it. About half way through already! Great resource, it definately compliments the Lighting 101 and 102 tutorials on here!

Well, the book is in stock at Amazon.co.uk (3 in stock) and Amazon.de (just in stock). I just ordered one yesterday from Amazon.de (yes, they also sell English books).
I'm not sure if they also ship overseas, but why shouldn't they? I have previously ordered stuff from Amazon.com and I live in Switzerland, so I imagine it would work the other way around, too.
Just a heads up...

Hah! I'm one of the culprits. I must have ordered one of the last copies on Saturday, along with Lighting and the Dynamic Portrait. Aye, from Amazon.com.
