The Hot List, Q2 '07

Every time you buy something on Amazon after clicking through to there from this site, I spontaneously break out into the Happy Dance. Which is a little rough when you buy something at 3:00am.

But hey, bloggers can't be choosers.

Every once in a while, I pull together a list of the most popular items recently purchased by Strobist readers as a barometer for what you guys are into, lighting-wise. Kind of like the New York Times best seller list, but without the cultural significance.

If you are into supporting the site, it's as simple as clicking through to Amazon from any link here.

Muchas gracias, y'all.

Do you benefit if I buy from Amazon.ca?

Sure do, if you enter through the "Strobist on Amazon International" dropdown on the sidebar.

Ok, so I'll stop buying Strobist recommend books while I'm at work. No what do I do?

Thanks for the blog.

Do you get paid for anything we choose to buy from Amazon, or just certain products you've preselected?

Anon-

It is anything you buy (or put in your cart and buy later) if you select it on a trip that originated from a link on Strobist.

Thanks for asking.

David,
Another excellent book on lighting is Dave Montizambert's Creative Lighting Techniques for Studio Photographers.
I know you've mentioned this book in the past, but it might be worth adding it to the sidebar.

It must make you proud to be almost single handedly responsible for the run on "Light Science and Magic"!

I recently went (from a link in an *old* post) to a fairly large Adorama purchase -- is that affiliate program still active?

There is no link to Amazon USA...I suppose that is because you don't have an agreement set up with them? So buying from Canada if you live in the U.S. is not big deal? Just checking. Little ignorant in that area....and others. :o)

Thanks.
