Did you know that any time a new reader is introduced to Strobist, an angel gets its wings? If you are on Facebook, now you can tell other people about Strobist here.
Thanks!

Come now, surely a little more can be done on the social networking front than to merely encourage people to link to the blog? I was hoping for a group at least.
rog, I just searched for "strobist" and found the strobist group! DH is on facebook as well.
Strobist group on facebook
I also posted the link to my profile. :)
I think there is a Strobist group, but I did not set it up! (And do not even know how to access it.) I am not a very sophisticated Facebook user...)
David, the best thing to do is add a "Facebook Page" for the group. Then people can become a fan of Strobist.
For an example you can see the page for my photography business. If you have a look there, you see the fans on the right hand side.
The best way to do it to get the guys who run the Strobist.com group to change it to a page. I presume you're an admin there?
The main strobist group is here:
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=4996673110
Currently has 560 members and DH is an Admin.
We'll do our best!
Thanks for giving us wings, David!
Hey David, I know this is off topic but I remember you stating that we will start to look at other types of lights and techniques. I found some youtube videos that I found very straight forward and informative and I thought that you may want to check them out and share with the group. Is there anywhere I can post the links for you to checkout
thanks Des
ARRGHH: Facebook is persuing me everywhere.
Oh well...OK - how the heck do I link to the Strobist things so more angles get wings?
OH.... I thought it was that everytime a new reader is introduced to Strobist, NIKON and the other companies send you more gear!!! lol.
Are the angels Strobists too?
Watch about posting your photos on Facebooks. Their ToS is a rights-grab.
By posting User Content to any part of the Site, you automatically grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant, to the Company an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, fully paid, worldwide license (with the right to sublicense) to use, copy, publicly perform, publicly display, reformat, translate, excerpt (in whole or in part) and distribute such User Content for any purpose, commercial, advertising, or otherwise, on or in connection with the Site or the promotion thereof, to prepare derivative works of, or incorporate into other works, such User Content, and to grant and authorize sublicenses of the foregoing.
The facebook ToS is a bit concerning...here's an alternative use of softboxes (with the modelling lights used as main lights) to create an angel with wings!

Oh here's the full link by the way- rather than firing the strobes I just used the modelling lamps to light the subject...
