Oh no I just woke up but it's still Sunday in Hawai and you already published the weekend photoshoot, "What Pau already?"
For me, nothing beats this guy from Belgium:

This is so good, i lost all motivation to start this kind of photography. :-)
I've done water drops before, with mild success. But seeing your post here sparked an interest to try again. It's always fun because < forestgump > you never know what you're gonna get < /forestgump >.
My results came out alot better this time. So thanks for that spark to try again! Some of my tries can be seen at:
http://matt-ferrell.livejournal.com/274433.htmlI colored the water with paper *under* the bowl though instead of the way the video did it. Next time I'll try the *flash into colored paper* way too. =)
Hey David,
You should encourage people to try out fluids different from water (and things dissolved in water). I haven't been able to get my hands on 100% alcohol, but if you can, I believe the droplets form differently. If you add alcohol to water, cool things happen, too (Marangoni effect)!

this has been fun, and I had a few in the slide show. I think I will experiment more tomorrow with more drop photography. I am going to need another assignment Dave. Feed Me!
This has been fun, and good work guys. I did have a few in the slide show, and I had a good time doing drop photography, and will probably do more tomorrow. I need another assignment Dave, Feed Me!!
This is incredible fun. Only one question. What are the better lenses to use?
Hello David,
how about some thousands of drops at once?
I have made a little Video on how to photograph an exploding waterbomb. It is online on vimeo:

I'd be happy to see it also on strobist.com

I had some fun with coloured water drops and milk! See my blog for more info and pics.
Bravo. Beautiful results, all!
It's funny guys saying they have a few shots in there... that's right, because its just searching the group, so anyone who tags their pics right will get a shot in the slideshow :)
I'm seconding what Fokke van Saane said, those shots are stunning, and leave that guy on Time Warp for dead!
i will try it, thanks a lot!
These are great. I need to try it. Such a simple concept.
Something with this post, I'm guessing the Flickr object, is making my browser (Opera) do crazy things. My mouse disappears after siting idle in any of my open tabs for ~5 sec.
Closing this site makes the issue go away immediately.
I love the site, but this is very annoying. Thanks for having a look at it.
@Anonymous-
This page had gotten over 25,000 views today by the time you posted your hang-up report.
Only about 2.5% of the people who view the site do so on Opera. So there could be compatibility issues with Flickr's slideshow module. But that is still ~625 views on Opera before the first report, so who knows.
Sorry that it is annoying, tho.
