Lighting at SXSW WIth Robert Seale
Way cool: Not only did PhotoShelter sponsor a Robert Seale lighting workshop at South by Southwest this year, but they also have uploaded a one-hour-plus presentation to the web, free to all.
A Picture's Worth, the blog over at PhotoShelter, is really killing it lately. They are pushing the boundaries on photographer education -- which of course comes right back to them in the form of smarter customers.
I love seeing both photogs and businesses doing stuff like this. And you are not gonna get much better than a solid hour of video, QA and resulting pics with a photographer of Seale's caliber.
For more info (including specific gear used, etc.) check out the post on A Picture's Worth. And you can see more of Robert's work here.

Another good one, David.
A totally worthwhile hour - thanks.:-)
Photoshelter is an excellent service run by honorable people. I've been using them since the first month they were in business and couldn't be happier.
This seminar with Robert Seale is excellent.
they were both confused about the blue tone in the shadow area during the white background/clothing pictures of her around the 45-46 min mark. it's because of the ambient light coming in (reflected from the sky)

Enjoyed this session very much. An hour very well spent. The question and answer session was helpful and the layout sketches were great. Looking forward to the next session. Thank you.
The pictures looked great, but this presentation with the slide show deal and his absolutely horrible use of umm and uhh... I couldn't watch more than 3 minutes of it.
Too bad really, seems like if something of this nature is going to be put out for mass consumption, there should be a little more thought about the production values.
this was great! very informative.
